Cultivating a life of adventure and hospitality
Born and raised in the vibrant coastal city of Durban, my journey has always been guided by a love for exploration and connection. At 21, I set off for Cape Town, where I met Gavin, my partner in life and adventure. Together, we built a beautiful life, raising three children while embracing new opportunities that fuelled our passion for hospitality and tourism.
Seeking a more tranquil setting for our growing family, we left the fast-paced city behind and took on the incredible challenge of managing a renowned resort in Hazyview. For five years, we dedicated ourselves to creating unforgettable guest experiences, ensuring every visitor left with unforgettable memories of South Africa’s breathtaking landscapes and warm hospitality.
By a twist of fate, our journey led us into the world of tourism transport, giving rise to GAP in 2005. Two years later, we took a leap of faith, turning a dream into a reality by fully establishing ourselves as an independent venture. Fast forward to the present, where every day is an opportunity to craft seamless, enriching travel experiences. From arranging a simple transfer to curating immersive tours, I thrive on the details. Meticulously planning, organising, and ensuring each journey unfolds perfectly. The joy of seeing a guest marvel at their first impala sighting or hearing their excitement after a day’s adventure is the ultimate reward.
Beyond work, I find peace in my garden, where I am an avid green thumb. Just as I love seeing a well-planned trip come to life, there’s something deeply satisfying about watching a garden flourish. I’m also a proud social butterfly, keeping connected through my local wine club, book club, and even a crochet club (though, admittedly, the wine often takes centre stage!). Whether it’s red, white, pink, or bubbles, I appreciate them all, just as I appreciate the incredible people and places this journey has brought into my life.
