A Guiding Star on the Rise

I’m 23 years old, and my journey to becoming a wildlife guide is just beginning. I was born and raised in Belfast Trust, a small village near the iconic Kruger National Park, where my connection to nature grew naturally from the environment around me.

In my free time, I love watching National Geographic documentaries to learn more about animals and their behaviour. My inspiration for joining the tourism industry came from my primary school, HOMUZEYA Primary. They gave us an incredible opportunity to visit Kruger National Park and experience wildlife up close. That experience planted the seed for my passion and encouraged me to dream of sharing the beauty of nature with others.

My favourite animal is the elephant, which I like to call the “bulldozer of the forest” because of its strength and the important role it plays in shaping its habitat. One of my most unforgettable moments was traveling along the S37 road and seeing an elephant sitting down. It was an amazing and rare sight that left me in complete awe and strengthened my excitement for guiding.

Although I’m early in my career, I’m full of passion, curiosity, and a drive to learn as much as I can. I look forward to growing into a guide who connects people from around the world with the incredible beauty and diversity of the natural world.
